If you are looking for jobs in Yeovil, we have a great permanent position for an Infrastructure Support Specialist II (Data Cabling Engineer). The salary is up to £30,385. This full-time position requires working 37.5 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
Due to the secure nature of our client’s business, the successful candidate will need to either hold or be able to obtain  SC security clearance. For this reason, we are only able to progress with applications from British nationals.

Key responsibilities of this role:

Firstly, install Cat5e/6/6A cable installation, terminations, and testing.

Secondly, installation of single- or multi-mode fibre cable, termination and testing, internal and external

Likewise, all forms of cable containment, including cable baskets and trays, metal and plastic trunking, and conduit

Also, the installation of wireless access points and networking hardware

Following cabling drawings, patching schedules, risk, and method statements

Use of Fluke Versiv copper and fibre test equipment

Lastly, fault investigation and repair

Needed for this role:

Firstly, 5 years of data cabling experience

Conversant with JSP4800 cabling practices

SSSTC would be an advantage.


CNCI or C&G cabling qualifications

IPAF 3a-3b certification

Finally, PASMA certification

A full UK driving licence is needed. Due to the size of the client’s site, a driving licence will be required to transport parts around the site where needed.
