This role is for Desktop Support Engineer in Lyon, France. This is a 6-month contract and is part-time (2 days per week).
We need a motivated and eager part-time Desktop Support Engineer who is experienced with MacOS application packaging to join our client in Lyon. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support.
Provide support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Firstly, respond to support tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Secondly, assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems and infrastructure.
Likewise, monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Furthermore, assist in maintaining an inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
Most importantly, support the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Also, assist with network troubleshooting and ensure network security protocols are followed.
Participate in network configuration and optimization projects.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, and policies.
Generate regular reports on IT activities and system performance.
Contribute to the development of user guides and training materials.
Work closely with senior IT staff to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Provide basic training and support to end-users on IT systems and applications.
Firstly, 2+ years of experience in an IT support role
Also, MacOS application packaging experience
Fluency in English and French and a valid work permit to work in France
Technical and soft skills that are needed.
Firstly, a good understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles
Must have familiarity with macOS operating systems.
Likewise has knowledge of basic network troubleshooting techniques.
Furthermore, have an understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
