Senior Network Technical Consultant

Salary: Up to £85,000 + £12,000 bonus split quarterly

Working Arrangement: Remote, with 25% travel commitments

Key Responsibilities

Firstly, design and deliver implementation services across a wide range of clients and technologies.

Secondly, to act as a mentor and technical escalation point in all areas where they are considered subject matter experts, providing expert-level knowledge with respect to issue resolution, standards, design, best practices, and delivering quality and reference target architectures.

Working collaboratively with sales, project practice, pre-sales, customers, and other parties as required.

Creation of technical documentation as and when required. Supporting/reviewing PS Costings Sheet

Low-Level Designs

Statement of Works (SoW)

Involvement and running of project design workshops.

Presenting technical documentation to customers.

Renew or upgrade the required certifications.

Takes responsibility for ensuring that assigned projects are executed and completed within agreed-upon time, quality, scope, and cost parameters.

To assist in the design of a proof-of-concept to support the delivery of a solution

To create or support the creation of test documentation and test scenarios.

Ensures personal and business objectives and set KPI targets are met or exceeded.

Proactively questions and evaluates existing systems, standards, documentation, and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.

Lastly, act as a coach or mentor for other co-workers.

Essential Skills

Firstly, enterprise networking design and implementation

Secondly, previous professional services or consulting role experience

Also, route/switch: wired and wireless, HPE/Aruba, Cisco SDA, and Juniper

Finally, Cisco ACI

Desirable Skills

Firstly, SD-WAN/SASE (Cisco, VMware/VeloCloud, Fortinet, Palo Alto)

Also, VMWare NSX, Palo Alto NGFW, and Fortinet NGFW

Likewise, Cisco ASA/Firepower NGFW, Cisco ISE, and Cisco ACI

Lastly, F5 ADC (LTM/APM/AWAF/GTM)

Essential Certifications

Most importantly, CCNP Enterprise and Aruba or Juniper Professional Desirable Certifications

Also, Palo Alto PCNSE and Fortinet NSE5 or higher

Lastly, CCIE

Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail.

First, you must have excellent communication skills.

Secondly, be able to provide technical leadership in their SME area.

Likewise, the ability to effectively manage one’s own time.

Also the ability to develop and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Works well as part of a team and can be self-motivated when required.

Continuously looks for opportunities for self-improvement and innovation.

Most importantly, be eligible for security clearance.
