If you are looking for support engineer jobs, we have a great opportunity for a first-line support engineer. This is a permanent role, and the salary range is between £22,000 and £25,000. This role is based in Chippenham and the hours per week are 37.5.

Role overview

You will be an IT Support Engineer with 1-2 years of service desk / Desktop support experience or be looking to progress from an entry-level IT background with a methodical approach to problem-solving who has an enthusiastic “can-do” attitude. You have ambition and a growth mindset, so you will be keen to learn, progress, and willing to study to become an exceptional technical professional and customers as well as providing a huge amount of future career opportunities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Firstly, you must have exceptional customer service skills and telephone manners.
Secondly, experience working at a service desk
Also, experience working with third-party software and solution providers
Desktop support experience
Likewise, be familiar with laptop and desktop builds.
Active Directory Administration (passwords, users, groups, permissions)
Office 365 Administration (passwords, users, groups, permissions)
Lastly, working knowledge of laptop/PC diagnostics, upgrades, and repair

MAIN DUTIES

Firstly, ensure all communications to the Service Desk, phone calls, and emails are answered promptly and in a professional and courteous manner.
Secondly, to request support by identifying, logging, and categorising incidents
Likewise, resolve issues at first contact using standard operating procedures and knowledge base
Also, troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues.
Furthermore, ensure customers are provided with regular updates, and progression is made in line with service level targets.
Ensure that all actions and diagnostics performed are recorded accurately in the Service Management Tool
Finally, build, install, and configure computer hardware and software.
