This role is for a Technical Support Specialist in the 2nd and 3rd lines and is based in Ashford, Middlesex. But other roles can be found on our jobs page. The salary is between £32,000 and £35,000 plus additional remuneration for OOHs at £250pw and weekend shifts at £225pd (1-in-8). After the initial 3 months of full-time onsite work, this role offers hybrid working 3 days per week.

Needed for this Technical Support Specialist role;

Essential experience:

Firstly, have the ability to navigate and work efficiently using IT software.
Logging using in-house CRM. Accurate ticket resolution. Document and maintain detailed records of support interactions and solutions.
Secondly, liaise well with third parties.
Likewise, dealing with 2nd and 3rd line queries effectively to competition.
Also, you must be patient and have excellent customer service skills and commercial awareness.
Furthermore, an excellent problem solver and team player
Confident and able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to communicate and provide great customer service
Also, be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines
Have great organizational skills.
Lastly, an outgoing and forward-thinking mindset

Desirable:

Firstly, experience in inputting import and export entries, preferably using Sequoia (any comparable system is adequate, as training will be given where needed).
Secondly, be able to deal with customs clearance processes for imports and exports and any issues that may arise.
Also, freight forwarding operations knowledge
Furthermore, have good knowledge of freight software packages.
Lastly, 2+ years in the freight forwarding industry, service desk, or technology-related role.

Shift patterns are:
08:00–16:30, 09:00–17:30, 10:30–19:00 Mon & Fri
09:00–17:00 Weekends
09:00–17:00 Bank holidays
Outside of these times, there is on-call service. OOHS covers 1-in-8 (19:00–08:00). Working a standard 09:00–17:30 during OOHs week.

Starting on 25 days. After 5 years served an additional 5 days is granted for that calendar
year and every subsequent 5 years after.
