Firstly, act as highest technical escalation point for the Service Desk Engineers
Secondly, resolve complex technical issues related including root cause analysis
Mentor more junior technical team members to upskill team capability
Own the technical knowledge base, writing and reviewing knowledge articles to ensure technical accuracy
Review requests for change and provide technical approval
Also, implement assigned project work packages to a high standard against agreed dates
Take technical ownership of P1 incidents to ensure a rapid restoration of service
Finally, own the design and implementation of Service Improvement initiatives
Firstly, exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner
Most importantly, 3 years’ experience working on a service desk
Likewise, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019
Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
Office 365 & Azure (migration, deployment management)
Managing wired & wireless networks, including switches, routers, firewalls (including VLANs, STP, LACP)
Secure networking, VPNs, ACL, IPS, IDS
Lastly, technical backup and disaster recovery
Firstly, Microsoft Azure / Office 365 / Modern Desktop certifications
Experience with VMware / Hyper-V hypervisors
Finally, Microsoft Security (EMS, ATP, Intune)
£30,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience
37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri, due to the nature of the job some work at weekends and outside of normal hours may be required. Travel to customer sites will be required so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is needed.
This role requires a DBS and BPSS check.
