Rate: £140 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30
Location: Farnborough

GTS has some exciting IT Contract jobs in Farnborough. This role is for a Desktop Support Engineer in Farnborough. The initial contract is for 3 month but this may be extended.

This is a site-based contract role and is inside IR35. As a result, this job is suited only to umbrella contractors .

DBS is also needed for this position

Key roles/Activities

Firstly, Windows and OSX environment support
Secondly, Support of administrative activities and tasks
Also, support project work to develop technical solutions (for example rollout)
Likewise, provide second level support to clients
Perform analysis and solutions of incidents  for day by day business
Report and present progress of project work ( for example effort, status and meetings) to project leads
Furthermore, manage desk moves
Managing Hardware for leavers and joiners and providing breakfix support (monitors, keyboards, phones, printers)
AD admin/PM admin for user accounts
New Laptop build check, installs and rebuild checks
Software installations
Folder Permissions/lockdowns
Mobile Device Configuration
Also, pitch and meeting room support (Off and On-site)
Hardware incidents (Printers, Laptops, Desktop )
Software incidents (O365, Windows 7/10, bespoke applications )
Lastly, provide Landesk and Anti-Virus support

Key skills and Experience

Firstly, proficient in end user operating environments (Win 7 / 8 / 8.1/10) and OSX environments
Secondly, must have a good knowledge of O365 and Adobe software
Also, be organized with communications and incidents/request management
Most importantly,  have mobile device knowledge, BES and ActiveSync, apple, android, blackberry skills
Likewise, be a good communicator and have excellent customer service skills
Also, be a great problem solving and have troubleshooting skills
Experience in working for a large organisation supporting hundreds of users.
Be able to work with and meet SLAs.
Finally, be able to work weekend overtime and cover 24/7 on call if needed
