We have a great opportunity for a Linux Infrastructure Engineer. This role is for a blue chip client and is a permanent position. The role will require the first Tuesday of every month to be in the office in Portsmouth.1 to 2 days a week will be remote working
Firstly, x86_64-based Linux server administration
Secondly, RHEL 7/8 and Redhat Satellite 7 including:
Puppet functionality
kickstart installations
Also, Linux Clustering Software (Preferable: Veritas Infoscale)
Experience with VMware
Tivoli Storage Manager
Performance and Analysis tool
PowerShell, Intune and Office 365 Administration
Finally, Active Directory integration
Other Key Deliverables:
Firstly, incident and Problem Management
Secondly, updating of support documentation
Also, timely implementation of all Changes
Working as part of project team/s to design and deliver customer requirements
Lastly, Unix Platform builds / installations and upgrades
Other Information:
Requirement for 24×7 Standby
Weekend overtime (approximately 2 Saturdays in 4)
We are looking for someone that is:

We are also looking for someone with good communication skills. This includes active listening, adapting your communication style to your audience, friendliness and confidence.
Be a good team player and help out when it gets busy.
Also, must be a good time keeper.
And, must be willing to learn and be a quick learner.
Thinking skills . Good at problem solving and decision making
Due to the nature of the client, candidates will need to be based within 1 hour journey from Portsmouth
