If you are looking for jobs in Kildare, we have a great role for contract Infrastructure Engineer. Working days/ hours are 24/7 x 365. Four days on four off in 12 hour shifts. The location is Leixlip, Kildare and the salary is up to €34,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused and enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer to provide physical touch support of network infrastructure incidents and requests on our clients site based in Leixlip, Ireland.

Working directly in a team of 8 and within a larger onsite Network and Data Centre support team, you will support major network incidents.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, working shifts, providing 24×7 on-site cover.

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will:

Firstly, analyse and troubleshoot network problems up, supporting Intel’s day-to-day operations network team

Secondly, plan and schedule daily tasks according to priority and severity

Support networks in remote locations within the Leixlip site

Be able to troubleshoot/diagnose WLAN Issues and escalate to 2nd Level Support if required

Ensure that all incidents and requests for Networks are logged, updated and resolved

Likewise, participate in project assignments when required

Also, support Asset Management audits

Lastly, perform monthly room safety audits and follow-up/closure on issues highlighted,

What we’re looking for:

Firstly, previous experience / knowledge of Cisco kit, i.e. Cisco CAT OS & CAT IOS Switches and Routers (small/medium & large switches)
Secondly, terminal server experience

Excellent customer focus

Also, excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong ability to adhere to processes and procedures

Likewise. must be a good team player and eligible to work in IE

Previous experience of Cisco kit, i.e. Cisco CAT OS & CAT IOS Switches and Routers (small/medium & large switches)

Desirable skills / qualifications:

Firstly, at least 1 years’ experience in a similar position

Safe pass certified

CCNA or studying towards CCNA certification is desirable
