We have an exciting opportunity for a First line Security Event Analysis Engineer with NATO clearance in Mons, Belgium.  This role will be working for a a blue chip company on an initial one year contract. The working hours per week are 37.5 hours and this is a site based role.

Job description

Perform initial analysis of logs and network traffic, determine alert severity and escalate if necessary.

Responsibility :

Conduct assessment of security events.

Analyse firewalls, IDS, antivirus, network sensors events.

Use tool set for investigations ( e.g. Log collection, Intrusion detection, … )

Support the incident handling Process.

Technical skills

Firstly a Degree in IT

Secondly, experience in cybersecurity analysis : 2 years.

Also, working knowledge in communication security, including TCP/ IP, network, Windows and Linux operating systems.

Knowledge of security treats and mitigation.

Experience of two years in :

SIEM ( e.g. Splunk, Arcsight )

Analysis, of NIDS events ( e.g. Palo Alto , Sourcefire )

Log analysis of various sources ( Firewall, Routers, Proxies, … )

Network traffic analysis using Wireshark

Desirable

Firstly, Certification in cybersecurity area : GCIA, GNFA, …

Secondly, computer Incident response CIRT, CERT

Also, full packet Capture System for e.g. NetWitness

Furthermore, HIDS and Computer security tools ( vulnerability, ¨Protocol analysis)

Lastly, forensics tools

Soft skills

Lastly, Autonomous

Must have excellent communication skills.

Language needed English
