If you are looking for junior IT jobs, we have a great job for a junior mobile desktop support engineer. Your ideal location is Preston (northwest) or surrounding areas. The salary is £27,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday; pick-up kit by 08:30 as local PUDO is working on client site up until 17:30; there is overtime available. The start date is as soon as possible.

We have an exciting opportunity for a junior mobile desktop support engineer to join a blue-chip company on a permanent basis in Preston.
Transport: a small panel van or similar will be provided, plus fuel cards and parking cards.
The role of a junior mobile desktop support engineer is to diagnose and repair technical issues on a variety of IT equipment, including but not limited to PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, peripherals, and point-of-sale systems, at various customer locations across the UK. Additionally, the junior mobile desktop support engineer will be responsible for providing IT hardware support for installations, moves, and changes across client sites.

Key tasks

Firstly, travel between a wide variety of customer sites to provide IT support services to meet contractual requirements.
Secondly, provide support services for a range of IT equipment, including but not limited to PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, peripherals, and point-of-sale systems.
Likewise, perform on-site installations and troubleshooting on a wide range of products in a software or hardware environment.
Also, obtain and maintain a set of vendor certifications as required to perform the role. Furthermore, follow documented procedures and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Always adhere to safety and electric static discharge (ESD) precautions. Complete all relevant documentation and provide quality updates as required for each site visit in a timely manner as set out. Participate in the on-call rota, which includes mornings, evenings, and weekends (on-call allowances apply).
Provide support services to the wider teams within the Integrated Technology Solutions department.
Lastly, demonstrate flexibility to work overtime to meet the contractual needs of the client when necessary.

Physical strength and dexterity to carry IT equipment and work in awkward or tight spaces
Also, must have general IT knowledge and skills
Basic management of a Windows based system
Most importantly, be able to use Microsoft office products
Also, a full UK Clean Driving licence is needed for the role.
Lastly, excellent admin skills to provide Realtime updates on all tickets
