We have an exciting opportunity for an Business Process Analyst to join a well established organisation in Thurrock on an 4 month contract.

As part of the HR, OD and Transformation Directorate; The Corporate Programme Team (CPT) is responsible for the delivery of Corporate Transformation Programme.
This ambitious programme ranges from enhancing the way residents interact digitally with company, to implementing new ways for employees to work and deliver services more efficiently with our Smarter Working Programme.
To help us deliver the best possible services to the residents of Thurrock the Corporate Programme Team are also actively engaged in Service Review Programme to look at how we can do things differently by driving continuous positive transformation throughout the whole organisation. Innovation and new ways of working using digital solutions to underpin process improvement are constantly on our radar in order to deliver the best possible services to the residents and businesses of Thurrock.
Over the medium to long term we will continue to focus the Corporate Transformation Programme on the delivery of three key principles:
• Getting it right first time, every time
• Excellent customer services
• Collaboration and co-production of services with our Communities and Partners The
Transformation Design function provides the bridge between Operational services and the Transformation Delivery function – thus ensuring we are delivering solutions that are fit for purpose and providing excellent value for money. The senior business analyst role performs non-routine work and is tasked with identifying and shaping necessary operational change to bring about efficiencies, savings and trans-formation of public service delivery
Responsibilities include: o Development of business cases for transformational change, including options and recommendations. o Shaping and handing-over well-defined projects to the delivery teams. o Cross cutting process analysis of services to identify opportunities for improvement. o Tactical and strategic process analysis and re-engineering activities. o Identification of process automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency. o Evaluation and recommendation of process improvements. Experience: o Evidence of the development of business cases and recommendations that apply sound and persuasive reasoning to secure well-informed decisions. o Evidence of building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including Directors/Senior Managers/Boards and external organisations/partners. o Evidence of applied analytical thinking and problem solving that has led to significant business change in a complex environment – preferably within a local authority. o Able to plan and lead the business case development stage of projects. o Highly proficient in the application of business analysis tools, particularly in the process improvement space. o Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
