Desktop Support Contract Jobs: We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer based 5 days a week at our client’s site in London for an initial 6 month period. The role is mostly desktop break fix. This role is client facing so strong stakeholder skills are needed. There may be an occasional need to support other sites in London and the Southeast and occasional need to work shifts between 07:00-18:00
The role will be inside IR35 – umbrella contractors only.
This role requires a DBS check, so contractors will need to either hold one or be willing to apply on offer.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience supporting an enterprise-sized client for an IT service provider.
Firstly, have a minimum of 2.5 years (desirable 6 years) technical experience in providing quality services to the end users.
Also, possess strong communication skills in English.
Have a collaborative manner that diagnoses and resolves issues/problems in a timely manner showing tenacity and awareness of the service impact to the customer being supported.
Act as a primary interface to the Customer. Lead and liaise with key contacts in other resolver groups to ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve issues.
Be able to provide concierge services as required.
Also, provide friendly and professional meet and greet.
Set expectations with the customer.
Manage the customer’s interaction during their entire experience at the Tech bar.
Provide information on customer products and services.
Windows 10, Windows 11, and desirable to have MacOS experience.
Also, software installation / troubleshooting.
Mobile device support (iOS/iPhone/iPad) – excluding warranty hardware repair.
Experience in Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management. (iPhone and Android)
Act as a primary interface to the Customer. Lead and liaise with key contacts in other resolver groups. This is to ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve issues raised.
PC hardware repair as well as PC Build.
AV ‘hands and eyes’.
Finally, networking ‘hands and eyes’.
