IT Jobs Chicago – Desktop Support Engineer

GTS has an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Chicago on an initial 12-month contract.

A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

2nd Level Deskside support
End User support
Hard/Soft IMAC, as well as Break&Fix
Use of troubleshooting skills
Hands & Eyes support
Possibly 24/7 on-call support
Weekend support may be requested

IDEALLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:

Experience in Desktop Support Engineering
Basic hardware knowledge, for example, laptop keyboards, memory, and hard drives.
Excellent English skills, both speaking and writing.
Problem-solving skills. This would include the ability to support bespoke applications.
Self-starter with the ability to work under minimum supervision.
Excellent communication and people skills.
