GTS’s IT Engineer Jobs & It support engineer jobs, we have a new role for a Cloud & Applications Transition Engineer

Perm – Hybrid role – Peterborough. 2 days onsite / 3 days working from home.

Salary £50,000 – £65,000 DOE.

A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Firstly, response and action work packages and pre-requisite activities are logged by Transition and Design.
Learn and deploy required internal tool sets in line with Service Design.
Work with team members to ensure a managed workload.
Provide assistance to Team members and Analysts as required.
Escalate potential service issues initially with Team Leader/Service Desk Managers/Service Delivery Managers.
Recommend and deploy changes via the change management process when required.
Work with consultants to better understand issues and resolutions.
Lastly, provide technical assistance to ongoing projects and the transition of new customers when required.

IDEALLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND ATTRIBUTES

Essential
Crucially, at least 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar SLA-driven role.
Customer Service Skills, as well as experience delivering projects and complex changes.

Furthermore, capability in the following technologies is desired (Certification an advantage):
Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019 inc Hyper-V – In-depth Knowledge
Active Directory (Core AD Services, DNS, DHCP, GPO, AD Replication, PKI) – In-depth Knowledge
Exchange 2013/2016/2019 – Strong Knowledge
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Administration and Microsoft 365 Administration.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365/Azure AD Identity Management
Cloud based technologies IaaS, PaaS. Also, Either Microsoft Azure or AWS.

Also desirable experience in SCCM and SCVMM, as well as VMware / vSphere 6.5-7.0. Furthermore, experience in ITIL best practices, as well as networking, are desirable. Ideally, you would be holding an ITIL Foundation certification.
