Job Title: 2nd line Applications and Cloud Engineer
This role is based in Peterborough but offers hybrid working
Salary Range is between £35000 and £45000
Firstly, respond to incidents logged on the Incident Management system and provide end users with a technical solution as set out in the Service Level Agreements. Also, work with team to managed workloads. Furthermore, be the key point of technical escalation and expertise for 1st Line Engineers.
Support Team members and Analysts as needed. Ensurel solutions are supported with documentation, training and within Service Desk and Support areas. Escalate potential service issues initially with Team Leader, Service Desk Managers and Service Delivery Managers.
Recommend and deploy changes via the change management process when required.
Maintain and develop knowledge, skills and experience through client contact, industry sources, formalised training and development plan.
Work with 3rd Line and Consultants to better understand issues and resolutions. Provide technical assistance to on-going projects and the transition of new customers when required.
Firstly, 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Also, must be customer focused and have great customer service skills
Proven track record in delivering projects with complex changes.
An Industry qualifications is needed.
Firstly. good understanding of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
Also, Active Directory user and computer management
File / Print Server – Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
Good understanding of Microsoft365, including the following:
Intune and Endpoint Management
Teams, Exchange on-line and SharePoint on-line
Finally, Azure AD and Microsoft Defender
Desirable skills
Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
Good overview of AWS, SCCM and VMWare
Security Clearance (SC) would be helpful in this role
Finally, experience in ITIL best practices desirable. Ideally holding an ITIL Foundation certification.
Other skills:
Good verbal and written skills.
Must be on time and reliable.
Own and progress incidents to resolution, and identify when escalation is needed.
Also, must work well under and be a team player
Must look to improve and grow your skills.
