The salary is £60k to £65k.
The working hours for this role are 9.00 to 17.00.
SC, UK national.
Current/ previous SC cleared applicants are suitable. Also, if you have a long notice period and are able to go through clearance you will be suitable.
Technical Architects design and implement information systems to support the enterprise of an organization. They ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels. Also, they support the development of new technology and system requirements. Technical Architects lead and direct a team and report directly to top management.
Firstly, to fulfill your core duty of designing and implementing complex computer systems, you will be responsible for many tasks.
You will analyse existing systems to ensure you offer adequate security and will meet the needs of the organization. You will communicate with all areas of the organization to see that the system is working as optimally as it should. Also, you will analyse business requirements. This is to identify where they can integrate new hardware, operating systems, or connectivity solutions.
Also, based on your knowledge of IT and analysis of the system’s needs, you may recommend other technologies or improvements. This is to enhance information systems to support organizational goals. You will present these ideas clearly to senior management.
Finally, you will lead the design and review processes for new systems. You will develop and document the proposed technical design for the integration of any new solution.
Essential Skills:
Firstly, experience with a broad range of technology. Have working knowledge in building enterprise architecture roadmaps.
Knowledge to design, integrate, and manage complex Infrastructure solutions.
Skills in client server networking and database management.
Ability to provide technical system solutions and determine overall design direction. Be able to recommend hardware for complex technical issues.
Also, experience in planning and developing support processes. Experience in adhering to best practices.
Strong written and oral skills. Have the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Finally, have the ability to quickly learn the functions of new technologies.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
Firstly, be aware of the direction of travel for the IT industry.
Have an Architecture Certification (TOGAF).
Also, Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certifications in Windows.
Knowledge of VMWARE and Virtualisation technology.
Finally, have knowledge of SAN and Storage Networks, as well as network technologies.
